Legend Caravans are proudly designed and manufactured in Australia.

We understand the conditions caravans can face across this country, from long highway journeys and coastal environments to corrugations, dust, heat and demanding off-road destinations.

That experience influences the way we design, manufacture and test our caravans. We carefully consider construction strength, weight distribution, insulation, storage, electrical capability, water capacity, comfort and long-term durability.

Strong Foundations

Every great caravan begins with the structure underneath it.

Legend Caravans uses high-tensile aluminium-frame construction, assembled using self-piercing rivets and lock-bolts. This construction method provides a strong and durable framework while offering excellent resistance to corrosion and vibration.

Depending on the model, our construction can include:

• High-tensile aluminium wall and roof framing
• Self-piercing riveted and lock-bolted frame construction
• One-piece insulated fibreglass roof
• One-piece insulated honeycomb floor
• Aluminium composite exterior walls
• Purpose-designed chassis and suspension packages
• Reinforced storage, recovery and jacking provisions
• Carefully planned electrical and plumbing installations

Each component is considered as part of the complete caravan—not as an isolated feature.

Our team considers the complete relationship between the chassis, suspension, body construction, weight distribution, electrical system, plumbing, appliances and internal layout.

We work with respected industry suppliers and carefully selected components to create coordinated systems that are serviceable, dependable and appropriate for the intended use of the caravan.

From everyday touring to demanding off-grid travel, we focus on building a caravan that gives you confidence every time you connect it to your tow vehicle.

Electrical Systems Designed for Real Travel

Modern caravanning requires more power than ever before.

Depending on the Legend model and your intended use, we can configure lithium battery storage, roof-mounted solar, DC-DC charging, inverter power and comprehensive system monitoring.

All Legend Caravans outside the Groundbreaker range use professionally designed 12V electrical systems as standard. These systems are ideal for conventional touring and moderate off-grid travel.

Every Groundbreaker is equipped with a 48V electrical system as standard. This provides the capability required for larger battery banks, higher inverter output and regular operation of household-style appliances.

A custom 24V system is also available by request when it suits a specific customer or technical requirement.

Our focus is not simply to install the largest system available. We work to provide the right balance of battery storage, solar generation, inverter output, charging capability, weight and expected daily consumption.
